I write this whilst sitting on an aeroplane on the runway at Heathrow Airport. I’ve said farewell to my family and my home of 25 years… Who knows what the future has in store for me, but hopefully lots of fun, adventure and new friends.
I’m struggling to describe the emotions I feel at this point in time. But I’ll try…
Excitement for exploring countries I have dreamed about visiting for years.
Anticipation for what the next few weeks hold.
Nervousness and slight fear about heading away for so long.
Sadness at leaving behind my amazing family and fantastic friends both in Reading and beyond.
My heart is breaking, my mind is going crazy with all the mixed emotions, but ultimately, this is what I’ve wanted to do for so long, and I know that its the right decision.
And so the adventure begins…
